The 2024 JUNO Awards Submissions Presented by TD are officially open! From now until November 2, 2023, at 11:59 PM ET, Canadian artists can submit their work at junosubmissions.ca.
Submitting to the JUNOS is not only the first step in the journey to winning a JUNO, but it is also an opportunity for artists to have their music heard by the Canadian music industry professionals that make up the CARAS Nominating & Voting Committee, Music Advisory Committees, CARAS Academy Delegates, and Judges.
Before artists begin the submission process, CARAS recommends collecting all the assets to ensure a fast and effortless process. Items required for all submissions include a high-resolution artist photo and album artwork, an artist biography, a digital booklet or credits and an audio file for every track from the project that will be submitted.
Artists must also include the key business contacts that CARAS should reach out to in the event of a nomination. This includes managers, publicists, or your own contact details if you’re submitting on behalf of someone else.
There are submission fees associated with each JUNO category you choose to submit to. Discounted fees are available for CARAS Academy Delegates. Otherwise, early-bird pricing is offered to artists who complete their submission by October 2, 2023, at 5:00 PM ET. Payment will only be processed once the submission is complete and all submissions must be completed and paid before November 2, 2023, at 11:59 PM ET.
“It’s important to submit to the JUNOS because why not? What do you have to lose. For us, we took a chance and now we won a JUNO. It’s the craziest thing in the world… We didn’t expect to win even when we submitted it. We just took a chance.”

Artists should also note some key changes to the JUNO Awards submissions that are new this year. As the use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) is becoming more predominant in the music industry, CARAS has revised its criteria across all categories to allow for projects with AI contribution. Elements of AI can now be used in eligible projects, but humans must be the primary creative contributors of the submitted work. Only humans are eligible to be nominated in any JUNO Award category.
The Album Artwork of the Year category is also expanding to allow for Digital Streaming Multimedia. CDs, Vinyl and Digital Streaming Multimedia with original Canadian album artwork are eligible, with up to four contributors recognized.
To better reflect modern music production, applicants for the Jack Richardson Producer of the Year Presented by Audio-Technica must have produced at least four tracks released in the eligibility period, with proof of tracklist and credits. Producers or production teams can only submit to the category once, either on their own or as a team.
Returning this year is the 2024 TD JUNOS Submissions Access Program. In an effort to continue supporting independent Canadian artists, particularly those from underrepresented communities, the TD JUNOS Access Program will help independent Canadian artists cover submission fees for up to five JUNO Award categories. The application deadline for this program is November 2, 2023, at 5:00 PM EST.
Don’t miss out on your chance to win a JUNO. 2024 JUNO Awards Submissions Presented by TD are open until November 2, 2023, at 11:59 PM ET. For a complete list of JUNO Awards categories, eligibility rules, voting criteria, and more visit www.staging.junoawards.ca/submissions.
