Tickets on sale for The 2020 JUNO Awards Broadcast at ticketmaster.ca
TORONTO – The Canadian Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences (CARAS) today announced additional details for JUNO Week events to take place in Saskatoon, SK from March 9 to 15, culminating in The 2020 JUNO Awards on March 15. Canada’s largest celebration in music will be broadcast live from the SaskTel Centre at 8 p.m. ET (6 p.m. CT) across the country on CBC, CBC Gem, CBC Radio One, CBC Music and the CBC Listen app. The awards will also be available for audiences outside of Canada to stream at cbcmusic.ca/junos.
Below are NEW details announced for many exciting 2020 JUNO Week events to look forward to, including:
- JUNO Comedy Show Presented by SiriusXM Canada is a laughter-filled night showcasing some of this year’s JUNO Comedy Album of the Year Presented by SiriusXM Canada nominees, including Adam Christie, Jarrett Campbell, Monty Scott and Sophie Buddle with host Jody Peters.
- JUNO Songwriters’ Circle Presented by SOCAN in association with Music Publishers Canada, affectionately known as the ‘Jewel of JUNO Week,’ will give the public an intimate look into the processes behind some of Canada’s top hits and most iconic ballads. Hosts of this year’s event are indie pop artist and 2020 JUNO Award nominee Lights and CBC q host Tom Power. Performers include 2020 JUNO Award nominees Aaron Goodvin, Elijah Woods x Jamie Fine, Nuela Charles, Tim Baker, Tom Wilson/Lee Harvey Osmond and Whitehorse. This event is in support of MusiCounts, Canada’s music education charity associated with CARAS and the JUNO Awards. The JUNO Songwriters’ Circle will be broadcast live on CBC Radio One, CBC Music and live streamed via CBC Gem and ca/junos.
- JUNO Stories from the Studio Presented by YSL Pro & Universal Audio is a comprehensive panel discussion with JUNO Award-nominated engineers, producers and special guests in support of MusiCounts, Canada’s music education charity associated with the JUNO Awards. This year’s panelists include 2020 JUNO Award nominees Ben Kaplan, Derek Hoffman, George Seara, Jason Dufour, John ‘Beetle’ Bailey, Michael Wise, Nuela Charles, Ryan Worsley, Steve Bays, and Vic Florencia.
- JUNOfest Presented by CBC Music: Featuring over 50 artists in more than 10 venues performing for fans, media and the music industry, JUNOfest will light up Saskatoon, SK on March 13 & 14, 2020. 50+ bands, 10+ venues, 2 nights, 1 pass. Performers include: Jim Cuddy, Lee Harvey Osmond, Whitehorse, The Blue Stones, Riit, One Bad Son, Justin Rutledge and more.
- JUNO Cup Presented by CBC Sports is the highly anticipated annual hockey game that pits iconic Canadian artists against star hockey players for charity, bringing together two top Canadian pastimes for a good cause. Players include Jim Cuddy (Blue Rodeo), Barney Bentall, The Reklaws, Tim Hunter, Rich Pilon, Eric Gryba, and more.
